Learning Objective: To learn to write better news articles and to utilize the new content management system to deliver news faster and more efficiently.
Description: This two-part session will focus first on writing news and then on delivering it to your readers. First you'll learn the dos and don'ts of writing clear, concise news releases and articles that grab--and hold--your reader's attention. Then you'll learn how to deliver your news via the web, email, RSS, and printed newsletters using the latest online tools developed for the AGNR content management system.
Methodology: After writing a short news article and having it evaluated by the class, participants will post their story to the AGNR News page and create a short newsletter of collected stories.
Pre-Work: Bring any facts, figures or photos for a relevant news article or feature you would like to write.
Prerequisites: Introduction to AGNR Web Tools.
