4n-Workshop (UPDATED): Introduction to Oracle Calendar

Length: 3 Hours

Learning Objective:

  • Participants will learn to manage their time using the Oracle Calendaring (formerly called Corporate Time) desktop client and web-based tool.
  • Participants will learn efficient and effective methods of planning meeting with other Oracle Calendar account holders and with resources "registered" with the Oracle Calendar system.
  • Description: Proposed Topics:

    What's so great about Corporate Time?
    Web-Based version/PC Client version
    Getting an account and logging in.
    Creating Meetings, Day Events, Daily Notes, Tasks.
    Customizing access and viewing rights and defaults.
    Searching the calendars of other individuals and resources for available meeting time.
    Inviting others to a meeting.
    Sending out email notifications.
    Creating accounts for resources.
    Provide resources for syncing with handhelds and Outlook (calendar, address book, tasks, etc.)
    Outlook Connector

    Prerequisites: Familiarity with Windows and using a mouse.
