Target Audience: 4-H Youth Development Faculty and Staff
Length: 6 hours
Learning Objective: This session will provide opportunities for learning about Maryland 4-H youth development program components that support program outreach and expansion.
Description: This one-day professional development has been designed to cover 4-H program basics for new employees (3 years or less) who work with the 4-H Youth Development Program. Topics to be covered include: 1. Strengthening and Expanding 4-H Clubs 2. Managing and Expanding Resources for 4-H Programs 3. Sharing Effective 4-H Youth Development Practices
Methodology: Small groups, panel presentation, brainstorming and group sharing, campus tour
Pre-Work: Participants are asked to use the 4-H enrollment system to identify 4-H club and 4-H club member and volunteer enrollment trends over the past five years and to bring that information with them to the training.
