Best Practices and Policies: There's more to the Web than Pretty Pages

Length: 3 hours

Learning Objective: This seminar will help you understand the best practices that you can apply to your web pages-- not just the "what to do" but also "why to do it." You'll learn to think beyond what looks good and focus on what works well.

Description: You already know how to use the content management system to make web pages, now help your readers get the most out of those pages. With proper use of menus, headings, file names, alt tags, and metadata you can make your pages more accessible and easier to use. You can even improve your rankings in Google search results and you might even end up with a better looking page.

Methodology: Via Centra or at WREC and WMREC

Prerequisites: Experienced with using AGNR Web Tools II (AGNR Content Management System)
