Request for Proposals

Fall 2008 & Spring 2009 Short-term Use
Plant Sciences Interactive Video Classroom


The Information and Education Technology Office of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources announces a Call for Proposals for scheduling occasional seminars, workshops, and meetings in the Interactive Video Classroom in the Plant Science Building during the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters.

These proposals should be submitted for:

   1. Delivery/receipt of seminars to/from remote sites,
   2. Delivery/receipt of workshops to/from remote,
   3. Delivery/receipt of meetings to/from remote sites, or
   4. Any other short term use of this facility

Because of the very short time frame, consideration will be given to requests in the order they are received. Submission of proposals will be handled electronically.

Please read the information below about what should be contained in your proposal before proceeding.

Proposal Process Information

Proposals should contain the following information:

1. Title of seminar, workshop, meeting; date and time requirements; approximate size of the group, campus the event is originating from (host site), all remote locations, teaching assistants and number of participants at each location. Please indicate how flexible you can be in meeting times.

2. A description of the event, how you anticipate using the technology, and your expected benefits for using interactive video that could not be achieved in another format.

Note: It is important to address how you will take advantage of the capabilities of the room. If you have questions about the capability of this interactive video system, contact Chris Sargent at (301) 405-4591.

3. Any special needs you anticipate.

4. Faculty or staff name, campus address, department, phone number, and E-mail address.

5. A commitment that this event will not be cancelled, except for an emergency.
